Compact quick change function through combination of three valve functions

Integrates the following valve functions:

  • Separate 4/2-directional valve to initiate cylinder movement
  • Pressure reducing valve to prevent damage to the mechanical system when the locking bolt engages
  • Bypass check valve for secure release of the locking bolt

  • Conventional solution

    HYDAC combination valve with quick change function

  • Special features:

    • When de-energised, the valve produces pressure that is regulated to extend or halt the locking bolt. The pressure level can be set mechanically on the valve.
    • If the valve is energised, the entire system pressure is routed to the cylinder port on the opposite side and the locking bolt can be retracted with great force.
    • Oil flowing back out of the cylinder is freely routed to the tank. Combining the functions in a single valve provides a securely locked bolt position when the valve is de-energised and also enables a mechanically adjustable locking pressure.
    • The combination valve provides optimum pressure conditions for tool change, e.g. in telescopic handlers.

    • Integration of a constant flow controller to monitor the flow rate and limitation performed by the valve automatically when maximum value reached.
    • Since the volume flows through only one valve, Δp for lowering is reduced in comparison with conventional solutions with multiple valves, thus enabling plunger cylinders to also be lowered without a load at the desired speed.
    • Continuous Q-I curve since there is no change in the flow force between the flow controller and the proportional valve.
