Mounting solutions & media management in fire protection systems
Certified solutions for industrial & mobile fire protection systems
Every second counts in fire protection – and so does the safe functioning of all components. Our mounting technology and media management solutions ensure that pipes, extinguishing agent bottles, pressurised bottles and valves are reliably fixed in place. This is how we make it possible for the extinguishing agent to reach its place of use precisely and quickly in an emergency.
Our product solutions don't just enable simple and therefore cost-effective maintenance of the mounted component. They also meet international certification standards.
Optimised solutions for industrial & mobile fire protection systems
Industrial fire protection systems
Industrial fire protection systems are the backbone of a reliable fire protection concept. In an emergency, they must trigger reliably in all conditions and deliver the extinguishing agent to the scene of the fire in a targeted manner without any loss. The demands on the mounting technology are also very high: pipes, valves, extinguishing agent bottles and pressurised bottles must be permanently mounted in a way that is stable, low-vibration and free from strain and stresses.
Different extinguishing systems – whether these are water-based or gas-based, with foam, mist or powder – also require precise adjustment to the pressure level, medium and installation situation. Other factors include corrosion resistance, temperature changes, limited mounting surfaces and the easiest possible maintenance. This means that precisely designed media management is crucial for the safety, longevity and functional safety of the entire system.
Mobile fire protection systems
In mobile applications – such as in fire-fighting vehicles, rail vehicles, ships or machines – fire protection systems have to withstand extreme stress. Strong vibrations, shocks, temperature fluctuations and tight installation spaces pose particular challenges for media management and mounting technology. Cables, valves and extinguishing agent containers must be securely fixed without reducing freedom of movement or ease of servicing.
At the same time, a compact, lightweight design is required. This enables flexible installation options and ensures safe operation even in extreme conditions. The system can only function reliably in an emergency if every component is perfectly mounted – for maximum safety in every mobile application.
Certified safety for the highest standards
Safety is the top priority in fire protection – and this also applies to our components. HYDAC media management solutions comply with numerous international standards and certifications relevant to the particular application. These confirm the quality and reliability of our products as well as their suitability for safety-critical applications worldwide.
Our solutions can be certified in accordance with the following standards, among others:
- EN 45545 / NFPA 130 (R22/R23 HL3)
- DIN EN ISO 10497 (API 607)
- UL 94
- FM Approvals
- DIN EN 12094-5
- ATEX, SIL / SIL2
- VdS 2344
That's how we can offer you tested safety – and a decisive competitive advantage in implementing sophisticated fire protection systems.
Mounting technologySafe & easy-to-install mounting solutions for fire protection systems
For over 50 years, HYDAC has stood for reliable and practical mounting technology in fire protection applications. Our solutions ensure that extinguishing agent bottles, pressurised bottles and pressure and control lines are securely fixed – even in challenging conditions.
Whether it's clamps in accordance with DIN 3015, series strips for parallel cable routing or flexible band straps for various bottle diameters: all systems are designed for stability, durability and easy installation. Depending on the application, they also comply with international standards and certifications such as ATEX, VdS or SIL. This creates the basis for safety, efficiency and reliability – in any industrial or mobile fire protection system.
Fire protection system mounting technology: clamps, series strips & band straps
HY-ROS DIN 3015 clamps & series strips
To reliably mount hoses, pipes and cables, we provide a wide range of clamps and series strips. These offer you a simple and safe installation process.
- Clamping jaws in PA, PP, PAFF (polyamide, flame-retardant), TPE, ALU (aluminium) and stainless steel
- All clamps are available with a weld plate & mounting plate or mounting rail
HY-ROS band straps
Our mounts are available in all standard diameters and are easy to install thanks to the patented quick-release closure system. We offer all clamps with the matching support base or as a mounting set. Custom solutions and our modular cylinder clamp system make it easy to connect gas bottles and pressurised bottles, for example.
Section valvesBall valves and coaxial valves for precise control and maximum safety
Section valves fulfil a key role in industrial and mobile fire protection systems: they control the flow of the medium and, in the event of triggering, cover the particular flooding area with extinguishing agent in a targeted way.
HYDAC has decades of experience in this field – with ball valves that have been in use for over 60 years and coaxial valves that have been used successfully in all kinds of applications for more than 20 years. Both valve types have been designed for maximum reliability, short switching times and compact sizes. They ensure precise, safe and efficient media control – even in extreme operating conditions. This is how they make a decisive contribution to the functional safety of modern fire protection systems.
Section valves for fire protection systems: ball valves & coaxial valves
HYDAC ball valves
Robust design for maximum safety. High-quality materials and reliable sealing systems - from manually operated shut-off ball valves to automated block solutions.
- Nominal size 04 – 150
- Pressure ratings up to 800 bar
- Detent function/locking option
- Antistatic and fire safe version
HYDAC coaxial valves
CX valves are used in fire protection systems to control and regulate the flow of extinguishing media. They enable precise control of the extinguishing agent for quick and effective responses in the event of a fire. They combine two functions in a single housing: controlling the extinguishing agent and monitoring the pressure.
