Our tried-and-tested load-sensing valves from the LX series enable precise and repeatable execution of work functions—this is because they record the load pressures of the actuators while pressure compensators utilize the information and provide the desired flow rate.

But how does the system become intelligent?

It's simple: thanks to our fast-reacting ICU control unit, our tried-and-tested modular valve system becomes a TÜV-certified, networked closed-loop system with automatic error detection. This is because the ICU monitors the system independently and quickly establishes a safe state in the event of an error. In combination with switches and position indicators, our modular system offers maximum functional safety with optimum performance.

Maximum safety thanks to a switch inlet section

The switch inlet section provides an important safety function for the LCX-6 series whereby a changeover spool automatically interrupts the pump flow in an emergency. A function that is particularly suitable for safety-critical applications such as cranes and telescopic lifts.

The changeover spool also allows flexible selection between the flow rate supply to the working sections or port A (HPCO=high pressure carry over). Electromagnetic valves with manual emergency actuation ensure maneuverability in the event of a power failure.

Robust position indicator for fast response times

The position indicator is an optional addition to the LX series and reliably detects the neutral position of the main spool. When there is movement, it detects the direction and sends signals to the safety system. The position is precisely determined using optical sensors that reliably detect the current spool position with the aid of a detection flag that is permanently connected to the main spool. Thanks to the fail-safe strategy, a warning signal is automatically triggered in the event of a fault. The position indicator fulfills the safety requirements according to ISO 13849, Performance Level "d," ensuring maximum safety and precision.
