Suction line filters

Suction filters safeguard the heart of every hydraulic system: the pump. They prevent coarse particles from entering the circuit from the tank. The challenge is to create an efficient filtration that keeps pressure loss minimal. HYDAC suction filters are designed to handle precisely this balancing act. They ensure the functionality of the pump from the very first second of plant operation and thus protect against costly total failures and unplanned downtimes in production.

Suction filters offer flexible mounting options: the suction elements can either be screwed directly onto the pipe or installed on the tank as a classic tank-top housing. With filtration ratings between 10 µm (paper) and 200 µm (wire mesh), they offer targeted protection that prevents cavitation symptoms even for cold starting conditions or high-viscosity media. The housings and elements are designed for medium temperatures from -10°C to 100°C and are characterised by a high chemical resistance to standard hydraulic oils and biodegradable fluids. Optional bypass valves also ensure that the flow rate does not break away even under extreme conditions.
