Diesel fuel filters
Modern diesel engines with high-pressure injection (common-rail) do not tolerate any contamination. Even extremely small particles or free water lead to corrosion and cavitation in injectors and pumps. HYDAC diesel fuel filters offer the required all-round protection from the refinery to the engine. Our systems combine high-efficiency particle separation with innovative, multi-stage dewatering technology. This enables engineers to comply with the strictest emission values (Tier 4 / Stage V), while buyers can increase the profitability of their fleets thanks to reduced repair costs and extended service intervals.
The technology’s unique advantage lies in its three-stage separation process: In the first stage, solids are removed using the Optimicron diesel medium. In the next stage, extremely small water droplets are combined (coalescence), followed by the final step of safely separating the water from the fuel. This ensures cleanliness class levels of up to 12/9/6 (ISO 4406), even in the case of engine vibration and load changes. Additional features such as integrated hand pumps for venting without pressure loss or heated housings for winter operation make these systems the ideal choice for critical infrastructure and mobile machine applications.
| Product type | Key benefits | Main applications |
|---|---|---|
| HDP (diesel protection) | Multi-stage dewatering with extremely high contamination retention capacity | Construction and agricultural machines, emergency power generators |
| HDM (diesel main care) | Cleanliness class 12/9/6 in the main flow; vibration-resistant | Marine engines, railway vehicles, large engines |
| HDA (diesel care) | Mobile or stationary bypass flow conditioning system, removes water and particles | Tank storage maintenance and upkeep of large fleets |
| Optimicron Diesel | Helios technology for stabilised pleats; max. incident flow area | Replacement and service supplies for maximum filter service life |
To simplify integration into your vehicle or system architecture, HYDAC provides comprehensive CAD data and technical documentation directly through its web shop. Our filter housings are designed in accordance with global design guidelines and can be used worldwide. Use our online tools such as Filter-IT² to design your system with precision based on your flow rates (up to several thousand L/min). When used in combination with HYDAC sensors for condition monitoring (such as the AquaSensor), a simple filter component becomes an intelligent fuel management system that enables planned maintenance and eliminates unplanned downtime.
