Gasketed plate heat exchangers consist of a stack of stamped heat transfer plates made from stainless steel or titanium, with seals to separate the fluids.
To cover the large capacity range, various sizes are available with different numbers of plates.
In safety plate heat exchangers, two plates are combined to form a pair and welded together at the connections. In the event of leakage at one of the two plates, the fluid runs into the intermediate space and emerges outside. This makes it possible to prevent mixing of the fluids.
