Inclination sensors
Measuring angles of inclination is indispensable in many applications. The horizontal levelling of machines and machine parts, for example, is an important part of machine safety. On uneven ground or in the case of large load torques, the inclination determines a machine’s stability.
HYDAC Inclination sensors continuously measure the angular position of vehicle chassis, booms or work platforms in relation to the horizontal plane. As well as measuring horizontal alignment, they can be used to measure joint angles and relative angles in moving machine parts. The measurements are available to the machine controller and form the basis of safe, precise and automated machine functions.
