Return line suction filters

In complex multi-circuit systems, in particular in mobile hydraulics, the available installation space is extremely limited. With their intelligent functional principle, suction filters offer an optimised system solution: the return oil of the work hydraulics circuit is filtered directly and made available to the boost pump of the traction drive unit with slight pre-charge pressure. This prevents cavitation on cold start and ensures that only ultra-fine-filtered fluid enters the sensitive boost circuit. As the number of components is reduced, the overall system costs and be lowered.

The HYDAC return line suction filter RKM is designed for flow rates of up to 600 l/min. A key technical advantage is the integrated counterbalance valve, which maintains a supply pressure of approximately 0.5 bar. This significantly improves the efficiency of the pumps. By using our Mobilemicron® technology, we achieve exceptional contamination retention capacity while maintaining minimal pressure loss. An optional thermovalve controls the flow rate based on temperature: the cooler inlet remains closed during the cold start phase and gradually opens as the operating temperature increases.
