HYDAC axial piston pumps of the PPV series convert mechanical energy into hydraulic power with minimal losses. What makes them special is the fact that, as variable displacement pumps, they adjust their swivel angle – and thus the flow rate – precisely to match the actuators’ actual demand. When no movement is required, the pump returns to ‘zero displacement’. This saves significant amounts of energy, reduces heat build-up in the system and extends the service life of all components.
